Hello,

you need:

$ bash winetricks mfc42 msscript
--- snip ---

to install missing installer prerequisites.

For proper app startup you need:

--- snip ---
$ bash winetricks mdac28 jet40
--- snip ---

There is no crash here, the app asks for database password at startup.
Assuming fixed (most likely user(s) didn't install required prerequisites).

$ sha1sum CatTools_3.6.0.Eval.setup.exe 
b1aa0b29478b57eb0932efca7a4fdde03bf84d58  CatTools_3.6.0.Eval.setup.exe

$ wine --version
wine-1.3.23
