No one said everything have to be as bad as windows.
How would you propose doing this? In which file dialogs? Unfortunately I don't know the details about windows api and number of file dialogs there or test implementation. For me would be best if all dialogs would support it. Maybe there is any way. E.g.: configure it outside (in control center). Usually there is not much changes during the time. If could be implemented, great. First way - implement new standard shell dialogs (those from winXP) where you have left side with icons. Second - you can add more buttons to dialogs. Third - replace default edit with drop-down with something more sophisticated. (In reply to comment #5) Do not talk about windows stuff as it would be GTK/QT widgets - they are not. What you "think" has nothing to do with the way they work. Wine does not integrate with GTK/QT nor will it in the future.
