This is a regression, Wine 1.3.0 displayed them smoothly. It's a lot more likelyt to get fixed fast when the regression commit is known. It's not that hard, but you need to have some knowledge how to compile wine. The missiles in the Stars! battle dialog lag. This is a regression, Wine 1.3.0 displayed them smoothly.
I'll see about getting you a save file for quicker testing - otherwise you need to play the game long enough to get to a point where you can battle with missiles.
