This problem shows up with the Dweebs demo that can be downloaded from http://web.archive.org/web/20021005065028/http://www.mutation.btinternet.co.... Download that self-extracting zip archive and unzip it. Run Dweebs.exe. It switches to full-screen mode, changing desktop resolution. The display is all black.
