Note: * in some games it occurs with the Xbox 360 wired controller as well (but it only seems to occur with the DualShock 4 in games where you use the right analog stick to rotate the camera (it is like if the right analog stick were constantly tilted to the left; although in “Wine Control Panel -> Game Controllers -> Test Joystick” the Rx,Ry little square is centered when I don't touch the stick). * using Wine Staging 5.7 and 5.8 (I haven't tried with other versions yet) on Gentoo. * it doesn't occur with native Linux games or emulators. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48881 --- Comment #6 from Scall <scall-ebr(a)prosemail.net> --- @soredake: I recently tried one of the games where I experienced the issue in a new prefix with case-insensitive C drive (<https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Wine-Staging-4.10-Released> -- not sure if that matters), using Wine Staging 6.4, and the issue has gone away. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48881 --- Comment #8 from Scall <scall-ebr(a)prosemail.net> --- I found out that the issue has only gone away for games where you use the “right analog STICK” to spin the camera: in some games using the “right analog TRIGGER” (R2) the issue persists. Basically it is like if R2 were constantly held down, even if in “Wine Control Panel -> Game Controllers -> Test Joystick” it is not like that. In “Comment 1” I only wrote about the right analog stick because I forgot that in some games triggers (L2 and R2 for the DualShock 4) are used instead. So this was my experience: Wine Staging 5.7, 5.8: spinning camera issue in both games using the right analog STICK and the right analog TRIGGER (R2) to spin the camera. Wine Staging 6.4, 6.5: spinning camera issue ONLY in games using the right analog TRIGGER (R2) to spin the camera. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
