The music is stored as MP3 data files. This might be the same as bug 9554. Still present in wine 1.5.3. The attempt to "winetricks directmusic" makes the application crash.
Also the game runs too fast here, mostly unplayable.
Did you try with both the directmusic and dsound verbs?
