Quite sure it happens because of: [0411/230842.208:FATAL:exception_handler_server.cc(278)] GetFileInformationByHandleEx: Bad device type. (0x42) The application calls GetFileInformationByHandleEx with FileInformationClass = FileNameInfo and there something seems to go wrong. @jeyandkey: Can you confirm that the app starts for you despite of the crash ? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. The application itself is using Chromium Embedded. The app does eventually start, though it will fail to start if vc2013/vc2015 runtimes are installed the prefix. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I am attaching my console output. The application downloads some updates, throws a backtrace, a message box pops up, closing it throws another backtrace. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42812 --- Comment #8 from Louis Lenders <xerox_xerox2000(a)yahoo.co.uk> --- Current version (2.9.0) still crashes. I tried to put some hacks in GetFileInformationByHandleEx, but still got the same crash; maybe the crash is not due to GetFileInformationByHandleEx after all but a totally different cause, no idea really. I`ll attach a relay log later on. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
