In some scenes I've also seen grid-like lines, however I lack a save file from those locations. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43133 --- Comment #7 from Jonathan Strander <mblackwell1024(a)gmail.com> --- Created attachment 58595 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=58595 The Witcher 3: Time lapse of screen distortions Taking 7 rapid screenshots of the same scene and layering them shows how noisy/busy this actually is. They (odd black shapes) are constantly dancing all over the screen. I am sure if I had enough images to layer in it would easily cover everything. Note that with HBAO+ enabled (or all SSAO disabled) everything is completely normal. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Is this still an issue in current git?
HBAO+ option looks OK without distortions, but SSAO has some grid like dark spots in the screen. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43133 Christian Widmer <CWidmer(a)umbrox.de> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |CWidmer(a)umbrox.de --- Comment #13 from Christian Widmer <CWidmer(a)umbrox.de> --- I was pointed to this bug report because I also encountered an issue with ambient occlusion in The Witcher 3. With SSAO I have small black shadowy things flashing on surfaces, like on the tub in the video linked in [1]. They also appear in other places, for example on clothes, but I mostly notice them during scripted scenes. When I switch to HBAO+ they seem do disappear. It might be worth mentioning that they appear with wined3d as well as with dxvk, with which the video was taken. This makes me think that my issue might not actually be a wine bug but rather a driver issue or something rooted in the game engine itself. I am using an RX 580 with mesa git on commit c3eaf8fe5746e5b29a46a076247ba072c84e2ec5, kernel 4.17.9 with the Gentoo patchset and vanilla wine on version 3.13.
