Using a native msvcrt.dll made it work for me on 0.9.54.

wget http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vc/mfc42.cab
cabextract -Lq mfc42.cab
cabextract -Lq -F "msvcrt.dll" mfc42.exe
mv msvcrt.dll ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32

then set it as native in winecfg.
