Cancelling the operation (without inserting the CD) produces this msgbox error: Error 1706. No valid source code could be found for product Adobe Acrobat 6.0.1 Professional. The Windows Installer cannot continue. Inserting the CD produces the following results: The CD runs the Acrobat installer, just like when I first installed the program. I'm guessing this is an msi issue. Confirming with Wine 1.1.2 and Acrobat Reader 6.01, on the console I get:

Still the same in in Wine 1.1.12 The Installer saved an "ModifyPath" entry in the registry for the Product. not possible. In wine 1.1.22, Acrobat Pro 6 would not install.

Install with 1.1.40, test detect and repair with 1.1.22.
I installed Acrobat Pro 6 in 1.1.40. Then I uninstalled the wine1.2 package, and downloaded and installed the 1.1.22 .deb from winehq. Testing using this configuration, I confirm that this bug exists as originally described: clicking Help -> Detect and Repair doesn't do anything.
