Now that bug 33890 is fixed, could you please retry with latest git (or with wine 1.7.2 when it comes out?)
Also, it the crash persists, make sure you have wine debugging symbols installed beforehand in order to get a useful backtrace. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

(The platform value shown in the attached backtrace seems fishy unless it refers to the Wine build used, which is indeed an i386 build running on x86_64 (amd64)) The GOG installer reports an error before going to the "successfully installed" page, but since I've seen this with every GOG game and they work afterwards, I don't think it matters. For example the Anno 1701 installer also has these errors at the end, but the game runs perfectly. And while Anno 1503 doesn't launch into a scenario/map, the game at least starts and I can create a profile, change settings, etc. My current graphics stack (Debian testing as a base): GPU: Hawaii PRO [Radeon R9 290] (ChipID = 0x67b1) Mesa: Git:master/0d19dc302f libdrm: 2.4.64-1 LLVM: SVN:trunk/r246424 (3.8 devel) X.Org: 2:1.17.2-1.1 Linux: 4.1.6 Firmware: <https://secure.freedesktop.org/~agd5f/radeon_ucode/hawaii/>

Created attachment 52227 [details] Backtrace with 1.7.50
Not sure if its related to your issue, but some apps/games expect data files to be present in the current working directory. Try to chdir to "C:\GOG Games\Anno 1602 - Creation of a New World" first, and check if it makes a difference. Btw ... this whole bug report seems to be a bit messed up. There are three different backtraces, most likely all related to the different issues. The initial description was that Anno 1602 crashes after some minutes of playing, whereas the recent reports mention that it doesn't start at all. Could be a regression or a different version of the game, nevertheless mixing all this up doesn't really make it easier to fix this. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Yes. I already was in that directory, because without that I won't even get the splash screen.

Sorry, I missed that part in the initial report. I somehow only noticed what Martijn wrote and that sounded like my bug. I'm happy to move this to it's own bug, if you prefer it. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
