[Bug 25585] New: wine loses release key event during lags in some games
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25585 Summary: wine loses release key event during lags in some games Product: Wine Version: 1.3.9 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-dinput AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: kitmaxter(a)gmail.com When playing Oblivion it is possible to go into the situation when it is not possible to stop running after some lag (loading objects during location change, making final blow to a monster, etc.) in game. Neither pressing any keys nor reloading to a save can fix this - only complete restart of the game. It looks like wine skips release key event and can't acquire it anymore. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25585 --- Comment #3 from Camilla Berglund <elmindreda(a)elmindreda.org> 2011-04-20 08:42:50 CDT --- After the bug has triggered, I've found that it's sometimes possible to recover from it by repeatedly pressing the key the game thinks is being held down. However, while it can (on my system) take hours for the bug to trigger, once it has it will reoccur frequently. I'm currently using Wine 1.3.18 from the Ubuntu PPA, but I have encontered this bug in every version of 1.3 that I've tried. It also happens regardless of whether I disable joysticks (bUse Joystick=0). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25585 --- Comment #4 from Camilla Berglund <elmindreda(a)elmindreda.org> 2011-05-05 11:00:34 CDT --- Another symptom is that, once the bug is triggered, if you manage to get that key unstuck again, the game will sometimes interpret other movement keys as being the key previously stuck key and it will get stuck again, ignoring the actually pressed key. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
