[Bug 44390] New: Ubuntu packages for artful fail to start the game Settlers 3
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44390 Bug ID: 44390 Summary: Ubuntu packages for artful fail to start the game Settlers 3 Product: Packaging Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 URL: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=vers ion&iId=3931 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: P2 Component: wine-packages Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: adrian.kalla(a)gmail.com CC: michael(a)fds-team.de, sebastian(a)fds-team.de Distribution: --- When using Wine from the Ubuntu packages for Artful, wine fails to start the game "The Settlers 3" - the game just shows a "structured exception" error dialog and does not start. This was tested with the following packages for Artful: -Wine Stable 3.0 -Wine Staging 2.21 When installing instead the Wine Stable 3.0 packages for Xenial or the Wine Staging 2.21 packages for Zesty on the same system (still Kubuntu 17.10), the game starts as expected -> clearly a packaging problem with the Artful packages. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Not critical
While this itself might not be critical, it indicates that something is seriously wrong with the packaging process on Artful and it is very likely that more applications are affected... -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Using NVIDIA Driver 390.12 with 3.0.0~artful I got this backtrace, 3.0.0~xenial is working fine. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
