As already said: It's advised to use 'Virtual Desktop' mode for old DDraw games. On startup, the game displays a selection dialog 'Multiple 3D cards available' with the following options: --- snip --- * display, DirectDraw HAL * \\.\DISPLAY1, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX --- snip --- My card is not recognized hence Wine's default GF8800. Both options work.
