I used the version from this bugs URL field, extracted, cd into the cmd folder. But I could not see a crash for 'wine git-gui', instead the "Git Gui" window opened. From the date it got reported I did a few more tests with this git-gui release:
https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/releases/download/v2.7.0.windows.2/Po... With this inside a minimal Debian Bullseye VM, and with dl.winehq.org packages I received a crash of git.exe up and including 5.17~bullseye.
From 5.18~bullseye no crash happens. (While still reporting an "Error in startup script".)
The later comments for the 32-bit git-gui release inside msys-2.0.dll might be a different crash (which seems also not reproducible with a current wine release).
