The claim above is not true, my tests show that Windows sends 
WM_WINDOWPOSCHANGING/
WM_WINDOWPOSCHANGED and friends to child windows with invisible parent at least
for SW_MINIMIZE, SW_MAXIMIZE, SW_SHOWMINIMIZED, SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED and 
SW_SHOWMINNOACTIVE.
