[Bug 12865] New: Flash wIndow initially displays off screen
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12865 Summary: Flash wIndow initially displays off screen Product: Wine Version: 0.9.59. Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: DouglasYMan(a)Yahoo.com CC: DouglasYMan(a)Yahoo.com What I did: I was working with Flash 8 on a external monitor. I shutdown flash, then disconnected the external monitor. When I started Flash back up, the work window was nowhere to be found (The splash logo came up and the process was still running). How I worked around it: 1. Re-attach external monitor, and restart Flash. Flash then displays on the external monitor. 2. Emulate a virtual desktop, at a ridiculous resolution, so it looks like both monitors are attached. Now when Flash opens, it will be in one of the corners of the virtual desktop (If you would like; you can move the window, turn off virtual desktop, restart flash; and it will position its self where you moved the window to). What I think happened: Flash remembers where the window was last positioned, when it is closed. When you open it, it tries to position its self where it was closed. If you had a larger display size, when you last ran flash, it is quite possible that Flash will now open off the screen (and you won't be able to Alt+Tab to it and move it, without using wine's virtual desktop). Desired behavior: If Flash tries to start off of the screen, it gets repositioned to your current display size. FYI: first bug report, sorry if format of ticket is odd. Is this still an issue in current (1.1.7 or newer) wine?
No, I am running 1.1.7 and I am no longer seeing this issue. Thank you! PS: does that resolve this issue? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
