This can be reproduced on all versions of wine, both in full version of the game and the demo (training mission). It worked for me using Ubuntu 10.10 and wine 1.2.2 May be it should help to solve (or close) this bug ?

The DefaultDepth parameter makes The Elder Scrolls 4 : Oblivion crash at startup.
