https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47778 --- Comment #1 from kurtosis <kurtosis.jones(a)gmail.com> --- Getting same error. Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS, Gnome 3.28.2, Nvidia Driver 430.40. Running WoW in Lutris using DXVK, per the config instructions here: https://github.com/lutris/lutris/wiki/Game:-World-of-Warcraft Tested the following: 1. Addons disabled 2. Battle.net hardware acceleration setting disabled 3. DirectX 11, DirectX 11 Legacy 4. Wine versions tkg-4.0-x86_64, tkg-4.3-x68_64 both with DXVK and ESync enabled Having issues testing Wow.exe and Battle.net in WineHQ staging (4.12.1, my system default), will update later (I've only ever run it in Lutris). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47778 --- Comment #4 from Andrew Schott <andrew(a)schotty.com> --- I figured out what was causing me grief. Blizzard's code hates symlinks. I have segregated off my game data in every prefix, and symlink it in where appropriate. So in this case I have a blizzard_games folder elsewhere that I symlinked each game in where BNet defaults the install to. I removed these symlinks and instead mapped a drive letter to it, and lastly pointed BNet to the new drive letter. In game shop works now. I have a few prefixes that all were experiencing the black screen issue, and all are fixed now by getting away from the symlinks. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. However, a workaround to get the store to temporarily work is to go to the game directory and clear the "Utils" folder. Then head the the Battle.net launcher and hit Update. The in-game store should work for one session, but it may take long to load. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
