As you can see the world editor looks much better. It is version 1:1.7.21-0ubuntu1~ppa1 from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wine/+archive/ubuntu/ppa And Wine does indeed crash sometimes on nearly every application. But this is a general problem because as long as binary builds are provided by third parties they might also contain patchsets. Actually no. It shouldnt be shown currently at that position. Also I found out that there are some tools hidden under the black thing. I think wine has improved. The hidden tools could be another bug. The black area isnt so bad as before. I don't see the crash mentioned. It seems to not related to D3D, because problem still exists when WE is launched with -opengl flag. Moreover, EVEN LARGER portion of interface is overdrawn with blackness (see above). Yes, it does behave better. Black bars obscuring the UI have disappeared,
