[Bug 20202] New: Everquest 1 (eqgame.exe) crashes right before character enters world

This is after the character selection screen, after the progress bar completes and disappears at the splash screen and right before the graphics of the world show. Problem occurs consistently after updating to the latest wine beta (1.1.30). I know this worked in an earlier version of wine (though I don't recall which... it was months ago when I tried it), so this is a regression. I have attached 2 logs which I hope might help track this down. I downloaded and built wine-1.2-rc1 (same version as the latest packaged one for ubuntu 10.4) using git. There results are as follows: -- Both the packaged and the source-built wine DO NOT CRASH when using a BLANK ~/.wine directory. The game works just fine. -- Both the packaged and the source-built wine CRASH, the same way and at the same spot, when using my CURRENT ~/.wine directory, which has been there for years. There must be some tweaks or other configuration parameters introduced sometime in the past that make wine crash eqgame.exe. I only have 3 applications installed, so it's not that big of a deal for me to start a ~/.wine from scratch.
