I have been using pokerstars for a while, without problems. Last time I connected with success was 01/01/2008. I have not updated wine in the meantime - still using 0.9.44. Tried to reinstall pokerstars, after cleaning up .wine, same error. After uninstalling wine, deleting every .wine reference I could find, installing wine-0.9.52, and installing pokerstars, it worked...
