Reverting back to EA Origin version 9.5.11.2855 - 363764 fixes that issue for me. But I think Origin Beta updates should be disabled anyway

The Origin services was running in the background. So, I tried to start a game and that worked. In other words the game thought Origin was running. I went over to my wine prefix, just to see what games I would lose if I re-installed Origin. I noticed the update marked the Origin folder in 'Program Files' read-only. The 'Origin Games' folder nor any other folder was modified. I reset it to write mode. Suddenly, the Origin client popped up on the screen. For some reason, I can't get past the installer. it just crashes when its done installing. weird. anyone have any idea to fix it?
I can't proof it, but I believe that this is some new issue. Not so long ago Origin did install and run with no issues with wine-staging. I haven't been able to install and run using either wine or wine-staging. Staging goes further, but it still fails for some odd reason. I started my previous installation, the prefix updated itself and Origin pulled some updates. Origin starts up okay after the update, is a bit slow but updating itself definetely worked for me.
