"Does not work" is not very specific. Does this problem still occur with wine 5.10? Does this problem occur with upstream (non-Staging) Wine? If the application is still broken, can you please attach default terminal output? https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49327 --- Comment #2 from Priit <priit(a)ww.ee> --- i Timeshifted back and it works. And put it into pacman ignore list. and reapplied all the other updates to like 370+ packages again (except wine-staging) and HDT still works (with wine-staging 5.8-1 then) so it has to be the 5.9-1. There is no wine 5.10 in manjaro repos yet. Not going to try any unstable branch stuff, but when 5.10 comes into stable repos, I will let you know. "Does not work" did mean this time, that the initial HDT logo "Loading..." thing did stay on screen forever and never reached the loaded / functional status. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. This, broadly speaking, shouldn't happen. Does this also happen if you create a new wineprefix? Does it also happen with upstream (non-Staging) wine? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49327 --- Comment #9 from Priit <priit(a)ww.ee> --- This happened while creating a new prefix. Have not tried the non-staging version because in all the guides everyone always goes out of their way to make clear to use the "staging" version for some reason. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. This happened while creating a new prefix.
Can you please attach a log of creating a new prefix, with "WINEDEBUG=+server,+relay,+seh,+pid"?
Have not tried the non-staging version because in all the guides everyone always goes out of their way to make clear to use the "staging" version for some reason.
That is quite unfortunate, but in any case when reporting bugs we always ask to try upstream first. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49327 --- Comment #11 from Priit <priit(a)ww.ee> --- wine (non-staging) 5.14 did manage to create the wineboot thing. However the next step to install dotnet472 with winetricks totally failed -- because NO VISUALS. exactly like with wine-staging trying to run anything. running anything with the debug options generates too much spam I can't even copy it out of the terminal without it crashing on "Select All". -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49327 --- Comment #12 from Priit <priit(a)ww.ee> --- just for trying out this non-staging thing, tried wine (non-staging) 5.8 and battle.net seems to start just fine and launch Hearthstone and it seems to work as well as the wine-staging 5.8 btw. Neighter 5.9 to 5.14 wine-staging nor wine (non-staging) seem to work. they all fail to generate any visuals, like they can't communicate with the GPU (AMD Vega 64) or something. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. That is a known issue (see bug 49532) You need to install dotnet with wine-5.10 and switch back wine-5.15 to test your game. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
