[Bug 40993] New: NBA2K14 - Poor Performance
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40993 Bug ID: 40993 Summary: NBA2K14 - Poor Performance Product: Wine Version: 1.9.14 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: ben(a)xnode.org Distribution: --- Created attachment 55153 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=55153 Framerate log Game should run very well on this hardware, but it's currently struggling and appears to be limited for some reason other than sheer hardware power. Logs attached for both +d3d and +fps. As you'll notice, the framerate never really changes from 12 FPS regardless of whether it's ingame or on the menu. Changing graphics settings from minimum to maximum also doesn't appear to make any difference. GPU info: OpenGL vendor string: Intel Open Source Technology Center OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Iris Pro 6200 (Broadwell GT3e) OpenGL core profile version string: 4.3 (Core Profile) Mesa 12.1.0-devel (git-1069461) OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.30 -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40993 --- Comment #1 from Benjamin Hodgetts <ben(a)xnode.org> --- D3D log is too large to attach even when compressed, I'll upload it tomorrow elsewhere. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40993 --- Comment #2 from Benjamin Hodgetts <ben(a)xnode.org> --- D3D log uploaded (63MB, 1.6G uncompressed) - https://xnode.org/files/NBA2K14-D3D.7z Same performance on current GIT Wine Staging and GIT MESA (OpenGL 4.4). Just sticks to 12fps regardless of the scene. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40993 --- Comment #3 from Benjamin Hodgetts <ben(a)xnode.org> --- Just tried this on the same machine using GIT kernel and GIT Mesa, using the open-source RadeonSI driver on a RadeonHD 7770 and got exactly the same result, still stuck at around 12fps. So it doesn't seem to be GPU specific. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40993 --- Comment #5 from Benjamin Hodgetts <ben(a)xnode.org> --- Yes, still the exact same problem even though I'm now running much more powerful hardware. i7-8700K (@4.8GHz) OpenGL renderer string: Radeon RX Vega (VEGA10, DRM 3.27.0, 4.19.8-arch1-1-ARCH, LLVM 8.0.0) OpenGL core profile version string: 4.5 (Core Profile) Mesa 19.0.0-devel (git-7fe4e0ad5d) It's although something's artificially liming the game's speed, because it happens regardless of hardware or in-game video settings. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40993 --- Comment #6 from joaopa <jeremielapuree(a)yahoo.fr> --- Does the bug still occur with wine-5.1? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
