[Bug 35222] New: Fiesta Online: can't connect to server
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35222 Bug ID: 35222 Summary: Fiesta Online: can't connect to server Product: Wine Version: 1.7.9 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: anakin.cs(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified Since Wine 1.7.9, I am finally able to launch Fiesta Online (http://fiesta.gamigo.com/en/). The connection to the game server with the client is done in 3 steps: 1) Enter your account name/password 2) Select the server you want to connect on 3) Select your character Step 1 & 2 works fine, but when I select my character at step 3, it tries to connect, and it just fails saying "connection failed" and brings me back to the first menu (step 1). I have tested on both openSUSE and ArchLinux, and the issue is the same. It works fine on Windows on the same machine. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35222 --- Comment #2 from AnAkkk <anakin.cs(a)gmail.com> --- I've tested on another computer running on ArchLinux, and I was surprised that it works without any issues on that one. Would that be some library dependency problem? I'll try to find out. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35222 --- Comment #3 from AnAkkk <anakin.cs(a)gmail.com> --- It doesn't look like it's a library problem. I have the same optional dependencies installed on both computers for the wine package. I have no idea why it doesn't work on that computer (under both openSUSE and ArchLinux). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35222 --- Comment #4 from AnAkkk <anakin.cs(a)gmail.com> --- I have the same problem on the computer where it works with a wireless connection instead of ethernet. It works fine with mobile tethering though, it's weird. Computer #1: - Ethernet: can't connect - Mobile tethering: works fine Computer #2: - Ethernet: works fine - Wireless: can't connect - Mobile tethering: works fine -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35222 --- Comment #6 from AnAkkk <anakin.cs(a)gmail.com> --- The output is exactly the same when I run with WINEDEBUG=+ws2_32 wine FiestaOnline.exe. There aren't any debug messages from ws2_32. Shouldn't it be +winsock? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35222 --- Comment #9 from Bruno Jesus <00cpxxx(a)gmail.com> --- Does bzip2 -9 helps getting the log smaller? How long it takes to do the 3 steps? By relevant part you mean you reached step 3 and only added the new lines after trying step 3? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35222 --- Comment #10 from AnAkkk <anakin.cs(a)gmail.com> --- Created attachment 47055 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=47055 Complete +winsock log Yes, I've attached the complete one now. It takes 30s at most to do the 3 steps I'd say. Yes, after doing step 1 it keeps spamming the log with thousand of these lines: trace:winsock:WS2_recv_base socket 0134, wsabuf 0x33fb88, nbufs 1, flags 0, from (nil), fromlen -1, ovl (nil), func (nil) trace:winsock:WS2_recv_base fd=53, options=0 warn:winsock:WS2_recv_base -> ERROR 10035 (this appears to be normal, it does the same when it works correctly) The relevant part is just after those line, the output changes once I do step 3. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Unfortunately I can't see anything wrong in the log. The aplication connectes to the server, send data and receive data. I'll try it myself when I have more time. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35222 --- Comment #13 from AnAkkk <anakin.cs(a)gmail.com> --- It's weird, I got it to work fine on my Computer #1 with an Ethernet connection. I was using the nouveau driver, I usually use the nvidia proprietary one. I switch back to the proprietary, and the connection fails again. Could this be related to the video driver somehow? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35222 --- Comment #15 from AnAkkk <anakin.cs(a)gmail.com> --- I haven't played this game in years, so hard to say. Last time I checked though (probably more than 6 months ago), they had totally changed their game loader and it didn't even launch under wine. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
