It did have the line wine: Call from 0x7b8458c0 to unimplemented function ntoskrnl.exe.ZwMakeTemporaryObject, aborting which is interesting... I didn't know Photoshop CS4 used a kernel driver. Did you have something else installed in wine? Does this happen on a clean installation (i.e. if you rename your .wine directory to .wine.old and reinstall Photoshop)? Try wine-1.1.10 when it comes out, or alternately build Wine from git yourself. Sounds like something's wrong with how you built and installed wine... maybe just wait for 1.1.10 this friday (or, more realistically, next monday before prebuilt packages arrive).

Photoshop no longer crashes it now has a GRAY ONLY interface (no menus, only gray)
