[Bug 46800] New: LINE (Powered by Naver): LINE v5.12.XXX series crashes after few seconds
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46800 Bug ID: 46800 Summary: LINE (Powered by Naver): LINE v5.12.XXX series crashes after few seconds Product: Wine Version: 4.3 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: badflagello(a)hotmail.it Distribution: --- #46583 was marked as resolved, so I opened this new bug. Prior to fixing 46583 LINE was not even starting, however now, despite reports saying otherwise, on my system it crashes within 10 seconds throwing on of those message "report this problem" which however is empty. After closing LINE does not reopen,unless you restart the OS. This must be related to WINE because up to 4.0 (or even 4.1) everything was working fine. I tried to run it from terminal and see if it shown more info but I was unable to do so. Any suggestions is highly welcome so that I can provide more info and this bug can be fixed. -Version- Kernel : Linux 4.4.0-142-generic (x86_64) Distribution : Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS Desktop Environment : LXDE (Lubuntu) Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz : 763.65MHz NVDIA GM108M with proprietary drivers 384.130 -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. What exactly do you mean with that? You could open terminal, the ``~/.wine/drive_c/users/your_name_here/Local Settings/Application Data/LINE/bin`` and start like ``wine LineLauncher.exe`` Doesn`t that work? thanks in advance for reporting back -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Hi,
Could you provide some more info;
What crashes exactly: does the login-window not come up, or does it crash after logging in?
Also, could you post console-output before the crash?
I tried to run it from terminal and see if it shown more info but I was unable to >do so.
What exactly do you mean with that? You could open terminal, the ``~/.wine/drive_c/users/your_name_here/Local Settings/Application Data/LINE/bin`` and start like ``wine LineLauncher.exe`` Doesn`t that work?
thanks in advance for reporting back
Hi Louis thanks for replying. LINE launches fine and everything works ok but aftr about 10 seconds of usage (me interacting with the app) it freezes and wine throws an error message, which as you can see in the attachment is empty. I could not run LINE from terminal because I was running it from the wrong directory: Here is the output: myusername(a)myusername-HP-Pavilion-Notebook:~$ cd '/home/myusername/.wine/drive_c/users/myusername/Local Settings/Application Data/LINE/bin' myusername(a)myusername-HP-Pavilion-Notebook:~/.wine/drive_c/users/myusername/Local Settings/Application Data/LINE/bin$ wine LineLauncher.exe -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 001a:err:module:import_dll Library atom.dll (which is needed by L"C:\\Program Files\\PDFescape Desktop\\creator-ws.exe") not found 001a:err:module:import_dll Library root-service-provider.dll (which is needed by L"C:\\Program Files\\PDFescape Desktop\\creator-ws.exe") not found 001a:err:module:import_dll Library encoding-conversion.dll (which is needed by L"C:\\Program Files\\PDFescape Desktop\\creator-ws.exe") not found 001a:err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Importing dlls for L"C:\\Program Files\\PDFescape Desktop\\creator-ws.exe" failed, status c0000135 000f:err:service:process_send_command service protocol error - failed to write pipe! 000f:fixme:service:scmdatabase_autostart_services Auto-start service L"PDFescape Desktop Creator" failed to start: 1053 0009:fixme:shcore:SetCurrentProcessExplicitAppUserModelID L"C:\\users\\myusername\\Local Settings\\Application Data\\LINE\\bin\\LineLauncher.exe": stub 0009:fixme:toolhelp:CreateToolhelp32Snapshot Unimplemented: heap list snapshot 0009:fixme:toolhelp:CreateToolhelp32Snapshot Unimplemented: heap list snapshot 0009:fixme:toolhelp:CreateToolhelp32Snapshot Unimplemented: heap list snapshot 0009:fixme:ver:GetCurrentPackageId (0x33f584 (nil)): stub 002c:fixme:toolhelp:CreateToolhelp32Snapshot Unimplemented: heap list snapshot 002c:err:winediag:SECUR32_initNTLMSP ntlm_auth was not found or is outdated. I did not have this dll! I tried on winetricks but it wasn't there. Ok, so now it works well, right? Note: I just found the app ships it`s own msvcp140, so indeed no need for winetricks. As a guess I would say an update of the app. The app updates itsself (I guess reguraly). I have in my directory two subdirs: ``current`` and ``5.14.0.1893`` But that is just a guess as i said. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
