I get all kinds of errors, mainly: Username or password wrong Connection timed out Connection lost It seems that the problem relies in winsock, I've attached a +winsock log The highlight seems to be the following, as this line is repeated again and again: trace:winsock:WS2_recv_base socket 01c8, wsabuf 0x33ebb0, nbufs 1, flags 0, from 0x33ec2c, fromlen 16, ovl 0x0, func 0x0 trace:winsock:WS2_recv_base fd=177, options=0 warn:winsock:WS2_recv_base -> ERROR 10035 Also, doing a search in the log for "63.251.64.141" (the authentication server's IP) will give you the parts from when I clicked on the "Login" button. Confirming is helpful in the way that I confirm I also am affected on a different system composition so the problem is not Mac Specific.

Dup of bug 30020?
No, the problem described in 30020 no longer exists. Wine can start the service and connect to it fine. Hello, It's possible that the original issue was caused by the official servers being shut-down and therefore returning errors when trying to authenticate. The game can still be downloaded from Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/17080/Tribes_Ascend/ Although the official servers were shutdown, it seems that the game can still be played on community servers: Some reddit post redirecting to the taserver project: https://www.reddit.com/r/Tribes/comments/mfspiv/are_there_community_servers_... https://www.reddit.com/r/Tribes/comments/c20tyo/tired_of_unkickable_hackers_... The discord server of the taserver project: https://discord.gg/8enekHQ The taserver project: https://github.com/Griffon26/taserver It works with the official game client, so the login mechanism is the same, I guess.
