I guess you are running on an nVidia graphics card + driver? You could try if you can get it running disabling the nvidia-driver (switch to mesa). I believe this is not what I was supposed to do. The same 1.9.6-git and wine-staging 1.9.6
Still the same 1.9.12-git and staging 1.9.12, but the strange thing is that if I add +trace, +tid and start with staging I am able to see shortly a gui drawn.
