Try updating to wine-0.9.60 and setting 16 bit graphics mode. Wine's winhttp seems to be mostly a stub. I suppose you could try installing winhttp 5.0. Microsoft no longer offers the download (as far as I know), but you can get it from http://www.pipeboost.com/winhttp.asp I've never tried this and this is beyond my ken. If it ends up being useful, I can add it to winetricks. That uuid was for winhttp 5.1, not 5.0, so the DLL I pointed you to won't help. Trying a windows version as you did is a reasonable approach until somebody implements winhttp 5.1 for wine. I see you still have riched fixmes. Please try winetricks riched20 as suggested by Louis. Is that exactly the same application? As i get a different output/behaviour I did: rm -rf ~/.wine copied scrrun.dll and mfc42.dll from my windows partition to ~/.wine/drive_c/windpes/system32/ did 'regsvr32 scrrun.dll' Then installed and started the app. It starts then into a first screen, where it says to continue with the trial, butwhen i click that button, it says the trial-period is over. So the initial msxml3 stuff seems to be fixed.
