[Bug 12250] New: Call of Cthulhu: Slow and jerky mouse movement

Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: directx-dinput AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: vkojouharov(a)gmail.com In Call of Cthulhu ( http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=3981 ), the mouse movement in the main (or any other) menu, as well as the inventory system, is extremely slow and jerky. When moving the mouse, the cursor will not move, but after a second or two, will teleport somewhere in the intended directory. This is actually a regerssion. Prior to 0.9.56, the mouse was slow, but with 0.9.56, the problem was fixed. With 0.9.57 however, the problem was resurrected, and it is still present in 0.9.58. p.s. This is not related to the same bug, but I don't know whether I should file a new bug for this. The same game is at least twice as slow, as compared to Vista. I just tested Call of Cthulhu both with Wine 1.1.21 and 0.9.60 and got the same "lag" in the main menu and in the inventory screen. Using up to date Nvidia drivers (180.51), changing registry keys doesn't help, nor does disabling sound support, etc. etc. An interesting thing is that the preformance in the main menu is better when running wine with WINEDEBUG=+d3d (!?), which however brings the rest of the game down to a crawl.
