[Bug 34517] New: Burnout Paradise on Steam crashes when trying to connect to server
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34517 Bug #: 34517 Summary: Burnout Paradise on Steam crashes when trying to connect to server Product: Wine Version: 1.7.1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: yajodj(a)msn.com Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 45950 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=45950 Death report Installs fine, and plays fine, except when "connecting to paradise city servers". Then it dies with this backtrace. One workaround is to disconnect the network before playing, so it steps over the conection and then I can play fine again, but only offline. Game crashes after it connects to server. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34517 --- Comment #6 from Konrad Materka <kmaterka(a)wp.pl> --- I've checked solutions proposed on that sites but nothing helped. Furthermore, I've just checked on Windows 8.1 and it is not crashing. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34517 --- Comment #7 from Adam Bolte <abolte(a)systemsaviour.com> --- I should add, I'm experiencing this issue on the Origin version of Burnout Paradise (without Steam). The title of this bug should probably be updated to reflect that the problem is not Steam exclusive. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34517 --- Comment #8 from Adam Bolte <abolte(a)systemsaviour.com> --- I should also point out that entering invalid credentials causes the game to successfully reject the login. The crash only occurs when valid credentials are submitted. Since basic authentication appears to be performed fine, this would imply that the crash only occurs immediately after an authenticated connection is established (and not specifically "when trying to connect to server" as the title states). Sorry, I should have pointed this out sooner. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Created attachment 51208 [details] +wininet,+winhttp,+winsock,+iphlpapi log
Thanks for the log, unfortunately I can't see any obvious network related issue. The older attachments don't contain the log so there is nothing to compare too but this seems to be the last line before the exception: 0031:fixme:ntdll:NtPowerInformation semi-stub: SystemPowerCapabilities I wonder if it could be related to that. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
