[Bug 21031] New: Visual C++ 2005 Trial can't build project, deadlocks, heap corruption?
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21031 Summary: Visual C++ 2005 Trial can't build project, deadlocks, heap corruption? Product: Wine Version: 1.1.34 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com Now that bug 19781 is on its way out, I tried doing winetricks vc2005trial and building the trial project from bug 17096. (I also had the ALLUSERS patch reverted.) As mentioned in the appdb (?), you have to close the flickering news window to get the file open dialog to respond. The build starts ok, but soon hangs with ... fixme:rpc:NdrStubCall2 new correlation description not implemented fixme:rpc:calc_arg_size Unhandled type 1c err:heap:HEAP_ValidateInUseArena Heap 0x650000: in-use arena 0x655dd8 next block has PREV_FREE flag ... err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x650058 "heap.c: HEAP.critSection" wait timed out in thread 0045, blocked by 0043, retrying (60 sec) which seems kind of gruesome. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21031 --- Comment #1 from Dan Kegel <dank(a)kegel.com> 2009-12-16 02:34:34 --- Building in release mode is less dramatic, but still hangs. Amusing fact: the build output window says WINVER not defined. Defaulting to 0x0502 (Windows Server 2003) in both cases. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Is this still an issue in wine version 1.6-rc3 or higher or is this to be closed as abandoned ? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Still hangs in 1.7.30, though not with a heap deadlock. I'll attach the output. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
