Basic trace of error

Wine has not implemented PVRC texture format within wine D3D/DirectDraw. This
causes errors to appear in Warhammer: Dark Omen.

I suspect this may be caused by the use of a new unique texture format as
described in here: http://wiki.dark-omen.org/do/DO/Sprite_Format. The game will
only partially work on an X11 server running in 16-bit mode. In 32-bit mode the
game fails to load at all. This error has been present since at least wine
1.34.
