Starting Skype with 1.9.9 spits out various errors. In some instances Skype.exe will go in an infinite loop and the debugger hangs, other times the debugger exists instantly. Exists cleanly: wine: Unhandled exception 0xc0000409 in thread 9 at address 0x115d6b8 (thread 0009), starting debugger... Hangs forever: wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x65756cf1 at address 0x63656ee6 (thread 0009), starting debugger... The skype version has already been updated.
It's 7.25.0.103.
I don't get this installed with pure wine 1.9.13, but it goes forward with wine-staging 1.9.13, but with staging it complains abour your internet explorer version??
I just downloaded skype from other bug report and the version is 7.30.0.105. It installs and runs but it has some other issues. wine 2.0.rc3. I am not sure if this bug can be reproduced anymore. At end of installation a message box was shown with message below: Runtime error 217 at 00527579 When Skype was run, message box with same error was shown. installer information:
