That wording leads users to believe that the PPA is under the control of WineHQ when it is not. As a result, bugs don't get reported promptly to the package maintainer and users expect support on the forum for any problem they may have installing Wine packages. When told otherwise, many choose to argue, pointing to the wording on that page. The problem is that because of the wording on that page, a lot of users just plain don't believe me when I tell them to contact you. There is an argument on the forum nearly every week with someone who insists that the Ubuntu PPA is run by WineHQ, and points to that page as evidence.
