I also tried to launch winedbg from command line: winedbg MidnightMysteries4.exe, but got strange error: an error message box appeared with "Error" header and empty text, after that winedbg said process exited. No such thing when I launch same exe with just wine. I'm not sure how to get backtrace from winedbg console, I tried suggested by manual Ctrl+C method but it doesn't seem helpful (see attachment 'command line backtrace'). Can you give me some directions to find out what's going on? The launcher for the game crashes in mshtml. It is a duplicate of bug #30181: both games use the same launcher from Alawar Entertainment, and they crash with the same backtrace. 'winetricks ie7' is a workaround for the reported problem. It should be also noted that the game won't start unless Russian localization is set.
