And how much CPU they use on windows? You haven't specified the actual problem so this is at best trivial not even minor.

In my case, it's probably due to poor drivers. CPU utilisation is fairly high in Windows too, where the drivers are better. I have a core2duo 3.0 e8400 and an Nvidia GTX260 896MB Graphics card. I also get "hardware acceleration can not ben enabled on your system" "your video card does not meet minimum requirements for this game" on my piece of crap p4 2.4 ghz machine cpu usage is around 18-20% and on my machine mentioned above I'm constantly above 30% It seems that this is getting better though.
