I have the same behavior wine wine20040505
I got a lot of 
fixme:font:WineEngCreateFontInstance just using first face for now
fixme:font:WineEngCreateFontInstance just using first face for now
during software set-up.

Now I got :
fixme:font:WineEngRemoveFontResourceEx :stub
fixme:font:WineEngRemoveFontResourceEx :stub
while the software is running. Not a single text on screen : nor on the button,
nor in the chat text fields.
