In Hellgate: London there is no sound any where else starting movies. I'm also have similar problem with Lord of the Rings Online in game voice chat, as long as in audio configuration related to in game voice chat playback device set the one with "(vmix)", there is no sound from team mates, if I set playback device to main pcm device, one without "(vmix)" in name, I can hear my team mates perfectly clear. As I tried wine-1.3.31-172-g7df0245 I've noted that in winecfg one can now set audio defaults to any available from OSSv4 audio devices, and that reminded that in "Lord of the Rings Online" suffer from somewhat similar problem. In "Lord of the Rings Online" there is built in team voice chat system, which is by the way TeamSpeak3, and when one uses OSSv4 he can't hear nor can say anything to his/her team mates. But if one goes in Sound settings and scroll down to bottom he/she will see that the selected audio devices is, in my case, "SB Audigy main (vmix)" and if one switch from that device for both in and out to, again in my case, "SB Audigy main", then team voice chat will start to work as it should. So keeping that in mind I've tried to switch all entries in Audio Defaults for Hellgate:London from "SB Audigy main (vmix)" to "SB Audigy main" and now I have sound and music! http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28790 --- Comment #5 from hash <HASH.DuOrden(a)gmail.com> 2012-02-08 06:35:39 CST --- I've tested TeamSpeak 3 client for windows version 3.0.3 (20.01.2012 14:49:07) and it suffers from same problem but with some qualification: When first time executed "ts3client_win32.exe" uses for input and output default sound devices named "Default" and there is no sound from loop-back test for Capture but in same Capture test the volume meter shows that ts3 is actually captures your voice but it seems can't play it back. If switch from "Default" "Playback Device" in "Playback" section of settings to real device, in my case it named "SB Audigy main", the Capture test is runes flawlessly. One a side note if as "Playback Device" in "Playback" section of settings used "SB Audigy main (vmix)", the Capture test is failed same as for "Default" "Playback Device". Another thing that should be noted is that with "Playback Device" in "Playback" section of settings set to "SB Audigy main (vmix)" or "Default" the Capture test fails, sounds of the program it self is played perfectly fine.
