http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25586 Summary: MS Office 2010 Pro Trial: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint crash trying to print Product: Wine Version: 1.3.9 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dimesio(a)earthlink.net Depends on: 25476 Created an attachment (id=32581) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=32581) Excel 2010 crash from trying to print To reproduce, start Excel, type a few numbers into the spreadsheet, go to the File tab, click Print. Native msxml6 wasn't installed properly or maybe newer version needed, not sure. At least MXNamespaceManager60 should be registered:
It wasn't installed at all for that log. I just uploaded a log obtained with msxml6 installed. I can do one with all the other overrides, too, if you think that would help.
Does Office 2010 use its own Print dialogue? This failures are about getting PIDLs for each printer.
Yes, and it's very different from the old print dialogs--it includes a print preview by default. The display is garbled in Wine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Sorry, I misread your first comment. We'll need printers PIDLs to work anyway to support this. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25586 --- Comment #6 from Rosanne DiMesio <dimesio(a)earthlink.net> 2010-12-23 18:35:21 CST --- The problem seems to be only with the new dialog. Printing using quick print (on the quick access toolbar), which bypasses the dialog and sends the whole document to print, works fine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Hi Rosanne, any chance for re-test?
Probably not. My working trial expired several months ago and I haven't been able to get past bug 25476 on a fresh install. The installer also crashes at the end in 1.3.22, though by then the files have already been copied over. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
