When I press the "escape" button I can see the menu of game. I have Fedora 16 with last updates. Have you disabled any default extensions in xorg, like XVidMode? Or in Wine?

This is with a Radeon HD 6950 and fglrx drivers installed under ubuntu, up to date as of the time of writing. For what it's worth, the output of fglrxinfo: $ fglrxinfo display: :0.0 screen: 0 OpenGL vendor string: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Your graphics driver might be broken or below spec.
