http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11196 --- Comment #5 from foobard <jens(a)porup.com> 2008-04-22 14:11:23 --- Yes, I'm using Ubuntu hardy. Is there a wine-based solution to this problem that doesn't involve this workaround? I confess I don't really understand what the current hack does, but it doesn't seem to me a satisfactory long-term solution, especially for the non kernel-hacking wine end user. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11196 --- Comment #6 from Dan Kegel <dank(a)kegel.com> 2008-04-22 14:24:02 --- The hardy wine packages should probably incorporate this workaround. Until then, you really do have to do it yourself, sorry. You only have to do it once, though. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11196 --- Comment #7 from foobard <jens(a)porup.com> 2008-04-22 21:18:27 --- Hmm, well I used the "sudo sysctl ..." workaround and ran the acrobat 3.02 installer. It all appeared to go well, even showed me the readme file. But nothing was added to my wine menu, nor is there an Acrobat 3.0/ directory under Program Files in my wine directory. There are no err: messages on console, just a bunch of fixmes. It claims to install but it doesn't. Using wine 0.9.60 on Ubuntu hardy. +msi,+msidb debug produced no msi messages. Log attached, anyway. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Works here as expected. You need to search the Files in C:\Acrobat3\Reader\
