I can start left 4 dead normal. The intro video got sound. But ingame
(Survival, Versus, Online and offline campaign) the sound doesn't work...

I have ingame singleplayer sound in L4D under Ubuntu 9.04 AMD64 on wine 1.1.30.

I can confirm this bug with wine 1.1.33 using ubuntu 9.10 x64

Changing sound device to headphones brought my sound back, it was on speakers
5.1. I had no headphones plugged in and haven't tried the other modes but I
assume a few of them will work too.

I haven no idead if this is a wine bug, pulseaudio or l4d bug

Sound has had a big rewrite recently. Can you try this in git (or 1.3.30 when
it comes out)?
