I attached the messages from the commandline, but they are the same as with wine 1.3.17 and everything is working fine there. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26842 --- Comment #4 from wine(a)thschuetz.de 2011-05-19 10:21:46 CDT --- Okay, things have changed with wine 1.3.20: I am able to click now ingame! And the game reacts! I am able to move the mouse with the mousebutton pressed. If I try Alt-Tab to switch to another window I get a "beep" the first time, the cecond time I can switch to another window. If I switch to the Euro Truck Simulator back again and try Alt-Tab, I get a "beep" again and could switch to another window with a second Alt-Tab. I usally move the windows with pressed window-key (or Alt) and drag-and-drop with the mouse, that doesn't work again yet. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26842 Alex Bradbury <asb(a)asbradbury.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |asb(a)asbradbury.org --- Comment #8 from Alex Bradbury <asb(a)asbradbury.org> 2011-06-30 12:09:12 CDT --- I downloaded the demo from here: http://www.eurotrucksimulator.com/download.php $ shasum ets_1_3_setup.exe 0ee1d794128747a11aedac6e4fb87644f0b5b01b ets_1_3_setup.exe The nag screen doesn't display which prevents you from running the game (just shows the html+js code). winetricks ie6 works around this. I successfully ran the program under wine-1.3.23-109-g7340dcd and didn't notice issues with mouse or keyboard. I can also successfully alt-tab out of and into the window under openbox when the game is set to display windowed or fullscreen. Could the original reporter please attempt to reproduce the reported issues in the demo? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26842 --- Comment #9 from wine(a)thschuetz.de 2011-06-30 14:39:04 CDT --- Okay, I played a bit with different wine-versions and openbox. The normal behaviour of this game (in window mode) with Microsoft Windows is that the mouse is catched. With wine 1.3.17 and xfwm or openbox you can hold down the alt-key and drag the window around with the left mousebutton. There is no similar function in Microsoft Windows. With wine >= 1.3.18 you cannot drag the window any longer. I ask myself if this is a bug or a wanted behaviour, because it isn't possible in Microsoft Windows, too. The second problem. If I press alt-tab in xfwm or openbox with wine 1.3.17 I get the next window immediatly. If I do the same with wine >= 1.3.18 I get a beep in xfwm and need another alt-tab to switch the window. Openbox works a usual. Is this a wine-bug or a xfce-bug? Those changes are only in the Euro Truck Simulator, other games in wine work like before. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

The same would happen in any app that grabs the mouse. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26842 --- Comment #11 from Fab <netfab(a)gmail.com> 2011-07-02 03:32:49 CDT --- In fact I'm not sure that comment #3 was relevant. The following sentence misled me :
when I (left) click the mouse is unmovable until I release the mousebutton.
I have a similar problem with the mouse, but this behavior is best described into bug #27522. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26842 --- Comment #12 from wine(a)thschuetz.de 2011-07-02 11:16:40 CDT --- Okay, the mouse-problem might be a feature, but what about the problem with alt-tab? I tried some more windowmanager: In xfwm, metacity and icewm you need 2 alt-tab's to switch from the wine-window to another. In openbox you can switch with the first alt-tab. So it seems to be a wine-problem, not a problem of the windowmanager. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
