Even if i type in 1680x1050 in the settings box, it still treats it as 3360

What it does do correctly is only display it on 1 monitor, so what i end up
with is a stretched game, showing only half of what it's supposed to.

How did you configured your dual monitors? As xinerama or twinview? Please
attach output 'xrandr' command.

I have my monitors configured with twinview.

xrandr:
dutchy(a)vampire:~$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 3360 x 1050, current 3360 x 1050, maximum 3360 x 1050
default connected 3360x1050+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   3360x1050      50.0*

This is my Ubuntu installation, I have xinerama working on my Gentoo
installation but there my wine doesn't work yet. As soon as my wine works there
I can test xinerama.

Fix your system configuration. That list should show lots more resolutions.
