I own a copy of American McGee's Alice.

The issue I'm having is that the first scene of the game, the image is split up
into many peices, and if I recall properally, she's in a cave, talking to the
rabbit, along with the cat, I can often see Alice if I move the mouse around,
but it seems as though the image implodes, into dozens of slices of the 3d
graphics.

I'm not sure if I need to update openGL or support directx in some way with
wine.

OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI R300 20060815 x86/MMX+/3DNow!+/SSE2 NO-TCL

Update your driver, or try the binary ATI driver. What you have here is a one
year old version of a reverse engineered driver.

Add some more info like a screenshot. Personally I expect your problem to be a
driver bug and not a Wine problem though. The game uses opengl.

I'm using Debian too and I own full version of this game and have no such
problems. It works perfectly for me with GeForce 7 and GeForce 8. So this bug
is INVALID. Upgrade your driver/hardware.
