Downloading the game seems to work fine, running the game seems to work fine. But logging in through the client has been disabled. So logging in through the launcher is a must. Unfortunately no content (main launcher) is displayed, so I am unable to see the login buttons and such. Eve's launcher has a fall back to a less GUI intensive launcher which is basically just a downloader, I have not found an option to log in through that launcher as of posting this. You need to winetricks -q ie8 corefonts dotnet40 I have personally tried this myself.
If you dont have winetricks installed, you need to install that 1st.

If you dont have winetricks installed, you need to install that 1st.

After updating winetricks, installing everything again, when i attempt to run the Eve launcher I get a few "certificate error" popups when attempting to open the launcher. Game seems to work fine. Resolved.
It's just that this bug is duplicate of the bug mentioned earlier. And we are using workarounds. Nothing really got fixed wine or was already fixed. Could you also commment on bug 42011? OOpps. :) Anyhow. This report is obsolete. Have not seen this issue for a long time. Now, the actual breaking issue is the the one reported in last Test result (an launcher stuck at "Checking GUI Version...").
