Sorry to ask this again but does this work with Wine 1.9.22? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

For some reason 1.9.21 does not load Mono so I'm not able to test further: err:mscoree:load_mono Could not load Mono into this process
Hmmm. Would you happen to know what version of .NET this application requires? If you know what version of .NET is required, you might be able to work around the load_mono error... -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Alright. Could you try making a new clean Wine prefix and then run the following command: winetricks dotnet452 and see if you get the same crash as you saw for Wine 1.8.5? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41689 --- Comment #6 from Pierre Rudloff <contact(a)rudloff.pro> --- I just noticed I was running wine with the wrong prefix (not the one Cyberduck was installed in)... If I use the correct prefix, it still crashes but it seems to crash later in the launch process. (And now I get the same behavior on 1.8 and 1.9.) I will upload some new logs and backtrace. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I recommend adding this link to the URL section and use "download" as the keyword so this bug gets added to the "With download" filter :) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Works for me. Fresh wineprefix. The trick is most likely -q winetricks -q dotnet45 Installs and runs. wine 2.0.rc3. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41689 Andrew Nguyen <arethusa26@gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #11 from Andrew Nguyen <arethusa26@gmail.com> --- The crash on startup is still an issue in wine-11.0-rc4. I notice the same problem has been reported in the Cyberduck issue tracker here: https://github.com/iterate-ch/cyberduck/issues/15520 This comment https://github.com/iterate-ch/cyberduck/issues/15520#issuecomment-1892210028 seems to identify what is happening on the IKVM side that is causing an exception to be raised on startup. There is a call to System.Reflection.Emit.AssemblyBuilder.DefineDynamicModule with the single name argument "<DynamicMethodHolder>" but the Wine Mono side also expects it to be a valid filename, hence the exception being thrown. This behavior is consistent with the last few lines of a Wine Mono trace with WINE_MONO_TRACE=N:System.IO: [00000024: 2.12102 1] ENTER:c System.IO.Path:GetFileName (string)([STRING:036242a0:<DynamicMethodHolder>]) [00000024:] EXCEPTION handling: System.ArgumentException: Illegal characters in path. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41689 --- Comment #16 from Esme Povirk <madewokherd@gmail.com> --- The issue with IKVM should be fixed in Wine Mono 11.0.0, and in the main branch of Framework Mono. I did not test Cyberduck with the fix, though, so I'm not marking this as fixed myself just yet. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
